Putin’s Puppet OR Moscow Marge
Take your pick. Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Greene has been called both of those. Based on her voting record, she has earned the nicknames. The latest example of that was that she was one of the few politicians to vote against a recent proposal to provide additional military and monetary support for the Ukraine.
For the record, two other fake Republicans voted against supporting Ukraine in its fight to survive: Congressman Andrew Clyde who cowardly did not support the police who protected him during the January 6th attack and Jody Hice who wants to be secretary of state overseeing the elections even though he supports the proven lie that the 2020 election was fraudulent.
Every other Georgia Republican along with all the Georgia Democratic politicians voted to help Ukraine in its fight. But that is only the latest in a long series of her shocking votes and actions being described as anti-American and pro-Russian… even as the Russian army kills women and children.
She also voted against a resolution “suspending normal trade relations with Russia.” One of only eight members of Congress not to support this move to punish Russia for its attack on the people of Ukraine. Every other Georgia member of Congress voted for this — Republican and Democrat alike. Her vote is considered a basic endorsement of Putin’s invasion — an invasion in which women and children have been killed.
And just when you think she couldn’t do anything worse. She does something worse. She actually voted against investigating Russia for war crimes. This time she was one of only six members of Congress to vote against this. Apparently killing women and children and shooting men in the back of the head is okay with Greene.
The traitorous voting pattern continues. She also voted against a motion “calling on the United States government to uphold the founding democratic principles of the North Atlantic Treat Organization (NATO).”
Three other Republican members of Congress joined with her in voting against Democratic principles: Andrew Clyde of Athens, Georgia along with Augusta’s Rick Allen and Cassville’s Barry Loudermilk. Athens congressman Jody Hice filed a “not voting” for the record.
Why? According to her, and apparently them, Russia is not to blame for the genocide inflicted on Ukrainians and that America and Ukraine are responsible for the mass killings.
Lastly, just to add insult to injury, as the saying goes, she actually insulted the 1.33 Million members of the Armed Forces saying that joining the military was “throwing your life away.”
The shocking thing is that there are Georgians claiming to be loyal and true Americans who support this woman and even more shockingly support the Russian dictator more than they do their own American government. Apparently she’s okay with that, too.
All of that is why she is also being called one of Putin’s puppets. You know she’s bad when even the conservative Wall Street Journal criticizes her.
The only correction to the above article is that she’s not “playing dumb,” she IS dumb.
So, based on those facts about her record, one has to come to the conclusion that her supporters believe:
— It was okay for Russia to attack Ukraine.
— It’s okay to Kill women and children.
— It’s okay for American to abandon its allies.
— It’s okay to support communism.
— It’s okay to make fun of people in the military.
— It’s okay to support dictators.
Congratulations, Georgia. Your state has won the award for having the worst member of Congress. You had some stiff competition — Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert and Madison Cawthon. But North Carolina had enough sense to throw Cawthon out. Do Georgians have enough sense to do the same with Greene?
